The eighth week

This past week I had quite a bit to do. My project was finally in its beginning stages so the first few days I was busy with that, because it’s something that has just started there were new protocols for me to go through and learn, so even though I had a lot to do it still felt like time was going slow. Those were the first two das of my week, then wednesday I had some meeting. One was with my internal supervisor at my university back home, this one was to give me an intermediate evaluation. I will be honest, I did a bit better than I thought I would do, so that’s a plus. The other meeting was with the second years at the university back home to explain about erasmus and the intercultural differences and some other things. I originally had two such meetings but in the second one there was a problem with one of the participants wich caused him to miss it, so I had a seperate meeting with him on friday. Then for the rest I was trying to figure out where it went wrong with the PCR amplifications.

Outside of work nothing special happened in the beginning of the week. I had been having some troubles with my bike, some peeping sound when stamping the pedals and my chain that creaks and sometimes it randomly blocks. Friday my chain blocked again just when I was crossing the road, it was unexpeded and I was also making a turn and because of that I fell quite hard and my leg still hurts. I got some grease in hope of fixing it. Saturday I went into the city just to walk around a bit, there is this restaurant in this cellar kinda thing that I have been pasing by but I decided to eat there. It is a Japanese restaurant, they serve ramen, sushi and poke bowls, they also have a wide arange of sake and sochu to drink with your meal. I had beef ramen with gochu (I think it was this name, not sure) sake, it was really good and the sake paired amazingly with the beef. sunday moring I went to get groceries but because the store wasn’t open yet I decided to get my breakfast at this cofee shop, but I gotta stop going there because their coffee isn’t good but their croissants are though. I’ll see how it goes.

One more thing the foto that is attached are the fish I am working with. they move a lot and are quite fast so it is difficult to get a good picture.
