The ninth + tenth week

I didn’t post anything last week because I completely forgot about it. So, yeah, that week nothing much happened at work, it has been repetitive. I have been doing the same DNA extraction on the samples that I have been doing for the past few weeks, it’s DNA extraction via alcohol precipitation. then for the rest I have been writing on my thesis quite a lot because there is an intermediate evaluation soon and I want to write as much as possible to get as much feedback as possible. Then this past week I have been doing the exact same as the week before. I wrote a lot this past week, I got to half of the allotted words for my thesis.

Outside of work, nothing much happened, about the same as always during the week making some walks, on one of these walks I made a call to a friend and we talked for 1,5 hours while I was enjoying the sunset. I also saw a lot of post on social media of friends that went tot he alps to go skiing and snowboarding. I was really envious because normally I also go snowboarding with some family and friends. because of that I made a call to the family that went skiing to ask how it is going and we talked for a bit and everything was going well, they went to another area than normal. They are trying to see if it is possible to to go to the same area next year. When I went on a walk friday evening I saw the trees and benches coveed with a layer of ice, it looked really cool. On saturday i went into the city and ate at this korean style fried chicken restaurant, it was really good and afterwards they served some icecream as dessert, it was a good end to the meal. on sunday I have the last few weeks I have the habbit of going for coffee or tea before going to the store in the morning, so I did that, after going to the store I went to a market with mostly food stalls. There I got these crispy baked fish with some garlic sauce, these are some of the best fish I have had. In the evening my brother came back to visit for a few days and we went to a restaurant where they have really good burgers, they are a bit expensive though. I still needed to work on monday and tuesday during his stay but we spend the evenings together, on monday we went and ate poke bowls and then went to the irish pub had a beer and played some cards. on tuesday he wanted to go to friends and burgers because last time they had a smoked reindeer burger, this time they didn’t but the burger we had was still delicious. He left on wednesday early in the morning.

This last weekend it was easter so I had friday and monday off of work, unfortunatly the weather was not really good it was cloudy and rained a lot. On friday I didn’t do much but have written on my thesis, then saturday I still went to the city even though it rained because I wanted to go out of the house. I started by getting a cup of tea at a café, while drinking tea I read my book because I have been trying to read more. then I walked around for a bit and went to a japanese restaurant to eat ramen paired with warm sake, If you never tried warm sake, I can really recommend it the fragrance and tase were really good. after that I walked around a bit more and when it started raining I wen to a café that I go to the last few weeks and had a cup of tea while I read in my book after that I started my way back home but met a friend along the way and talked with him for a while before going home to write on my thesis. Sunday I didn’t do much but I made a walk in the evening. then monday I mostly wrote on my thesis because that was the day I needed to upload it to geet my evaluation next monday.
