The sixth week

This week started out really shitty, from monday through wednesday I did the same part of en experiment over and aver because the results were just that bad. Luckily for me the different times I did the experiment could be compiled to get some results and eventually I also just continued with the best results from the previous part, so I got most of the results I needed. Then thursday and friday I did the same experiment but with another batch of fish and there were little to no problems with the results. For the rest of the time that I am not in the lab I am reading articles and working on my thesis, its comming along but slowly.

Last monday was saint patricks day, so I went to the Irish pub to celebrate. There I met some people via the barman that I know, he was also there. For the people that don’t know me I am a hobby brewer, I brew my own beer and wine. At the pub I got talking with some friend from that barman and he told them I am a brewer, so when they met me they asked about it and I told them about it. they also have friends that are hobby brewers, so ther’s a chance that I will help brewing beer here in Finland. I’m really looking forward to that, I really hope that happens.

Then for the rest I went for walks at night, wednesday I went to roligans, that’s a bar that I go to frequently the past few weeks. In the weekend I did what I alsways do and went to the city centre to walk around and did some shopping. I went to the market hall on saturday, apparently there are elections soon in Tampere, there was one of the candidates there. I talked a lot with him and his outlooks are actually pretty good, if I could vote I would vote for him. In the afternoon I wanted to get a cup of tea but everywhere I went it was full because there were a lot of people out and about because of the beautiful weather. Sunday I did very little because I didn’t feel like doing anything.

Lastly I want to give one piece of advice, persistance pays off. Even if things don’t go your way, dan’t give up but keep trying. Eventually it will either work out or you will have enough data to compile it into the necessary data you need. So don’t give up.
